In each year, a single initial matching Micro Grant application can request up to $7,500 pending availability of funds. Funds will be limited to $7,500 total per investigator per year.
ROLE OF THE EXTERNAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE IN MATCHING MICRO GRANT FUNDING
Proposed projects will be evaluated and selected for a matching Micro Grant by the External Advisory Committee (EAC).
CDD administrators and personnel will not decide which projects receive a matching Micro Grant.
EAC funding decisions will be based on (1) scientific merit, (2) how completing the proposed project will facilitate project advancement, and (3) probability of success. EAC members will evaluate projects for fit within the mission of the CDD.
EAC members are experienced industry drug hunters with career focus in assay development/screening, medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, drug metabolism/pharmacokinetics (DMPK), in vitro pharmacology, and in vivo pharmacology.
EAC members have signed a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to participation as a member of the committee.
You will not receive written feedback from EAC members on the decision to fund your project.
