The Center for Drug Discovery at Washington University

The mission of the Center for Drug Discovery is to identify and advance promising drug candidates from the Washington University community with emphasis on four sets of activities:

  • Identification & Prioritization of Promising Projects
  • Education & Project Strategy
  • Implementation & Project Management
  • Facilitation of External Partnering

The task of identifying projects is conducted in partnership with established University partners, including the Institute of Clinical & Translation Sciences (ICTS), the Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation & Entrepreneurship and the Siteman Cancer Center.

The Center works closely with the Center for Research Innovation in Biotechnology (CRIB), which identified a need for academic participation in drug discovery in light of industry consolidation.
